Kaizen Foundation and Uefa Foundation for Children have announced a partnership to provide 10,000 match tickets for UEFA Euro 2024, to children from underprivileged backgrounds and those with disabilities.

The Kaizen Foundation, funded by Kaizen Gaming, has partnered with the UEFA Foundation for Children to support the ‘10,000 Smiles’ project. This initiative aims to distribute 10,000 match tickets for UEFA Euro 2024 to associations working with vulnerable children.

The project will provide tickets to children aged 8 to 16 from underprivileged backgrounds and children aged 8 to 21 with disabilities. The selection process will be coordinated with each host city based on their specific priorities.

Through this partnership, Kaizen Foundation and UEFA Foundation for Children will host 10,000 children across 40 matches in 10 different stadiums. Compliance with child safety legislation will be ensured by the host cities and federal ministries, which will calculate the necessary number of adult chaperones and ensure stadium accessibility.

Special accommodations will be made for children with specific needs, including adapted seats, entrances and travel arrangements. Additionally, transportation to and from stadiums will be organised and parental authorisation will be obtained in cooperation with partner organisations.

Kaizen Foundation President Panos Konstantopoulos commented: “With grants surpassing €4m ($4.2m) in recent months, we have launched the renovation of the Penteli Children’s General Hospital in Greece and we have completed the renovation of a critical section of the Pitesti Pediatric Hospital in Romania. Now, we will be supporting the UEFA Foundation for Children in helping 10,000 kids smile.”

Kluser Urs, General Secretary of UEFA Foundation for Children, added: “Having support from organisations like the Kaizen Foundation is critical in allowing us to achieve our goal of improving access to sport and bringing smiles and hope to children who need it most. We are looking forward to collaborating with the Kaizen Foundation for more initiatives in the future.”

In May 2024, Kaizen Gaming appointed Aris Dimarakis as Deputy CEO and Christos Tzalavras as CPO. These appointments are aimed at driving operational development and supporting the company’s strategic goals.
