Macau’s Success Universe Group, owner of Ponte 16, a casino-hotel in Macau’s World Heritage Site Inner Harbour, has appointed Cua Fong Ying as its new Company Secretary and Authorised Representative, effective from 20 June 2024.
The appointment was made to replace the company’s previous Secretary and Authorised Representative Chiu Nam Ying, who tendered her resignation.
The announcement was quoted from a statement informing the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) regarding the change of personnel.
As an associated member of both The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute and The Chartered Governance Institute, Cua is experienced in the field and has served various HKEX-listed companies throughout her career.
She joined the company in 2006 and served as Senior Company Secretarial Manager before her current appointment.
The Board wished Cua a warm welcome to her new role, while also expressing their gratitude to Chiu for her contribution during her tenure of office.
Ponte 16 is one of Success Universe’s businesses which was adversely affected during the covid pandemic, necessitating financial aid from its parent company.
The post-pandemic revival of Macau’s tourism and gaming sector will benefit the recovery of the company’s affected business.
