Saturday’s game between NY Yankees and Boston Red Sox in New York was temporarily halted after Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo was struck by an object thrown by a spectator at Yankee Stadium.
Dude who hit Verdugo with the ball was just sitting there tapping his leg nervous as hell PRAYING security came & got him. He didn’t argue one bit. Verdugo should get to throw one at his chest from a full crow hop. Dude is a piece of trash. pic.twitter.com/rVLwv6jIa4

The incident provoked Red Sox head coach Alex Cora to withdraw his team from the game. After the game Verdugo stated: “I wouldn’t want any Boston fans throwing shit at Yankees players or any player in general. That’s just the known rule.”
