iOS apps for BetStars, playMGM and 888 were cleared by Apple and made available in time for NFL Sunday.
The apps were launched on the Android platform ahead of the start of the NFL season, with playMGM launching in August and the remaining two in September.
New Jersey’s September revenue from digital sportbooks surpassed that of physical operators. Mobile and online generated $12.5m for the month, compared to $11.4m from land-based wagering.
This is chiefly due to Resorts AC, which offers sport betting with BetStars and DraftKings, posting digital revenue of $8.5m in September, while retail brought in $279,492.
However, retail fared far better elsewhere, with Bally’s Wild West, host of Caesars online and 888, announcing digital revenue of $106,463 and retail of $394,046.
Retail is also ahead for Borgata, which offers sports betting with playMGM, where revenue hit $2.4m and digital only reached $120,938.
Meadowlands, which has sports betting with FanDuel, generated digital revenue of $2.8m – the second-highest total – although its retail ps were $4.3m.
